Right now, I’m sitting in Cairnie, Scotland. As I look out the window, I see acres and acres of lands running wild with life. My neighbors are trees, sheep, cows and a tiny population of friendly people with accents I still don’t fully understand. Woven throughout this countryside is a feeling of home.
Earlier this year, as a family, we decided it was time to hit the road. It wasn’t logical, nor particularly desired. It was a stirring of our souls. Miraculously, we all agreed upon where our journey would begin and the first place we would call home.
It’s been almost six weeks since we sold everything we own and left for what may be a three-year adventure around the world. It’s exciting and absolutely terrifying. A combination that seems to be a tried and true representation for exactly what my soul is craving. Excitement cultivates action and forward movement. Getting to the other side of the fear is what makes it all worth it. The fear allows for the growth, the wisdom and total trust in intuition to take the forefront.
Something I’ve deeply learned over the last decade is that leaning into intuition never fails. It defies logic, it takes us where we wouldn’t have imagined for ourselves and it doesn’t fail.
The calling of the soul is not something that gets quieter with time. It weaves in and out of life, like the ebb and flow of water. Sometimes gentle as a stream or loud as a white water rapid. The closer you are, the softer it becomes. A simple pause from daily life is all you need to listen.
When was the last time you stopped to listen?
In the mornings, I take a walk through the country lanes. I talk and I listen. I thank my Spirit Guides for all the opportunities in my life. I ask for support in my current endeavors. Then I listen. Guidance comes in the form of thoughts, feelings, inspiration and wildlife. It’s easy and it’s beautiful.
If you’re new to this, you may begin connecting with your Guides by simply inviting them to be with you. Take three deep breaths, then say out loud:
“I ask that my Spirit Guides surround me, encircle me and enfold me with their Divine Love and Divine Light. May every breath source from this Divinity. May every step be guided by this Love and this Light. Thank you.”
Then close your eyes, tune into their presence and ask your questions. Doing this on a regular basis will help you to identify your spiritual support team, help you lean into your intuition and begin to open a pathway of communication to your soul. I encourage you to try it for a week and see what happens.
I’d love to hear how it goes.
